Finance Training Options

    Finance for Non-financial Personnel

Over the past 12 years I have trained thousands of people in financial
awareness from different types of organisation.  Despite their job roles being
different, their needs are often similar.  They want to understand financial
'jargon' and use financial information more effectively.

I have considerable expertise in working together with the training sponsor and
the organisation’s accountants to provide training which is tailored to meet their
needs.  The content would usually include some or all of the following:

  •        budgets and forecasts
  •        management accounts
  •        financial accounts
  •        cost analysis, including break-even analysis
  •        calculation of price
  •        the difference between cash and profit
  •        profit and loss accounts, cash flow statements and balance sheets
  •        working capital management
  •        Key Performance Indicators and ratio analysis
  •        cost-benefit analysis
  •        business plans

    Coaching

There are a number of reasons why some people might prefer this to
attendance on a finance training course.  For example, they might have a
specific requirement which is not shared by others in the organisation.  That
person could be the Chief Executive or someone who has just been promoted
to a budget-holder role.  One-to-one coaching, at a time and place to suit, is a
highly effective solution.  I have extensive experience of working on a one-to-
    one basis with people.

    'Go Green' Workshops

Everybody is jumping (and quite rightly) on to the 'green bandwagon'.  The
great thing about sensible financial management is that by its very nature, it’s
    green.

For instance, it reduces use of consumables and energy.  I have been
incorporating specific modules on sustainability and reduction of waste into my
    workshops for 12 years.
